There’s no better way to spend the first day of the coming new year than with family, friends, and food! If you’re in the mood to head out instead of staying home on January 1, here are 17 restaurants in Bonifacio Global City you can eat in to celebrate 2017!

1. Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes
(Open from 12NN to 11PM)

What started as a lone restaurant you can find along Katipunan Avenue has grown over the years into one of our favorite spots for pasta, rice meals, pies, and tall, packed cheesecakes that you can find in multiple locations around the metro!

If you haven’t tried it yet, don’t miss out on the signature Banoffee Pie, which is made up of a graham crust, caramel, and sliced bananas. Reich T. describes it as “a classic, easy on the eyes, darling of the masses” in her looloo review.

Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes is located at G/F Market! Market!, Mabini Avenue corner McKinley Parkway, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

2. Phat Pho
(Open from 12NN to 9PM)

One thing we love most about the start of any year is the colder weather we seldomly get to enjoy here in the country! If you’re looking for a way to warm up, buy yourself a steaming bowl of pho at Phat Pho!

This noodle soup dish is probably the most well known dish in Vietnamese cuisine and comes with a wide range of options for toppings, including chicken, pork, and beef!

Phat Pho is located at G/F Serendra Piazza, McKinley Parkway, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

3. Sarsa Kitchen + Bar
(Open from 12NN to 11PM)

You might’ve seen a certain Heussaff on TV talking about how a dish called Sizzling Kansi is the best thing thing he’s ever eaten. Wondering where you can find it? The Sizzling Kansii and so much more are all found in Sarsa Kitchen + Bar!

Sarsa takes all our favorites from the local cuisine (including street food!) and puts a spin on each dish! Sarsa’s take on the Lechon Kawali, for example, is served with pinakurat and batwan tsokolate! Yes, chocolate and deep fried pork!

Sarsa Kitchen + Bar is located at Forum South Global, 7th Avenue corner Federacion Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

4. Cafe Mary Grace
(Open from 12NN to 10PM)

The Christmas-New Year holiday season is probably one of those times when we crave for cheese roll and ensaymada the most.

Lucky for us, there are multiple Cafe Mary Grace branches where you can satisfy these cravings in BGC alone! Pair your cheese roll or ensaymada with a cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate (Cafe Mary Grace even has a white hot chocolate version and one that has chili in it!) and you’ll be good to go!

6. Manam
(Open from 12NN to 10PM)

Sometimes, it’s difficult to imagine classics in a way that’s different from they traditionally are. Take our local cuisine as an example. We eat and see Filipino food everyday that we can’t help but look for something different yet still very familiar to our taste buds. Lucky for us, Manam has found a way to put a twist on timeless favorites.

So if you happen to be in the Burgos Circle area on January 1, why not go to Melo’s for lunch or dinner for your fill tender, juicy, perfectly cooked meat? “This is a tried and tested place for us,” according to AAA M’s looloo review. “Usually, when you have good meat ready, that’s all you need – someone to cook it right.”

Sushi is arguably the most well-known and loved Japanese food here in the country. We have restaurants in the metro that mainly serve sushi and we even have them in Japanese fast food restaurants. Ooma offers something new to sushi lovers in the form of aburi maki.

Aburi in Japanese means “to burn” and at Ooma, makis are seared using a blowtorch for the added texture and flavor! Make sure to try the Salmon Skin Aburi Maki and Scallop and Tuna Aburi Maki, which are regular crowd pleasers!
