Life can get super duper stressful and tiring, and sometimes all we want to do is to unwind and relax. Pronto. We don’t know about you but it sure sounds like a great reason to grab your friends and head to a bar for drinks and some good grub.

But if a regular bar just won’t cut it for you, we came up with a list that might just have what you need! The five bars on this rundown bring something extra special and definitely IG-worthy to the table: a great view of the city skyline!

And whether you’re up north, down south, or somewhere in between, we have a bar just for you. There’s absolutely no need to go far!

1. Antidote Bar

Hanging out at Antidote Bar is surely a feast for the senses. You get good food, drinks, music, and of course, a breathtaking view. But we’re not just talking about the 360° view of the Makati Central Business District and its nearby areas. We also mean the colorfully-lit jellyfish aquarium you’ll find here!

Yes, you read that right! I’M Hotel’s rooftop bar is also the first and only jellyfish bar in the country! “Watching the jellyfish under the luminescent lights that change colors will leave you in a trance,” Marjorie G. says in her looloo review. “For the jellyfish tank alone I would recommend that you visit this place.

On the other hand, the Straight Up bar in Seda Vertis North may come across as more relaxed and laidback than its BGC counterpart. Located on the the 24th floor and larger in size, your picture-perfect view of Quezon City comes with lounge music and even live performances on selected days.

Straight Up Roof Deck Bar can be found at these locations.

3. The Nest Dining In The Sky

For those who live or work down south, here’s one just for you! The Nest Dining In The Sky is a roofdeck bar and restaurant found on the 31st floor of the Vivere Hotel. Being that high up from the ground guarantees stunning views of southern Metro Manila. It’s no wonder why The Nest’s al fresco dining area is popular among its diners. We recommend placing a reservation so that you can secure a table with a good view!

“It gives you a scene much like in Makati, except less buildings, air pollution and traffic,” Abby M. says in her looloo review. “I think that’s a plus because you can really see the night sky and beautiful lights from nearby buildings and, of course, SLEX.”

The breathtaking sights coupled with its elegant interiors has also made The Nest a favorite option for those celebrating important relationship and family milestones. If you’ve got one coming up very soon, you might want to consider having your celebration here!

The Nest Dining In The Sky can be found on the 31/F of the Vivere Hotel, 5102 Bridgeway Avenue corner Asean Drive, Alabang, Muntinlupa.

4. The Penthouse 8747

When it comes to The Penthouse 8747, diners might be torn between wanting to stay outside or lounging indoors instead. Opting for al fresco dining will guarantee you a view of the Makati Central Business District, its tall buildings, and dazzlings lights. But staying inside isn’t a downer at all! In fact, you’ll feel like you’ve just stepped into the Great Gatsby the moment you enter!

“Being here feels like time traveling back to a decade of stylish art deco, jazz bands, men in fancy suits and ties, sexy flappers, and huge glam parties,” AlwaysHungryPh P. says in his looloo review. “This sophisticated bar is set on a roof deck, and was originally launched as a speakeasy, back in 2016. One couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with its interiors, adorned with gold accents, posh velvet couches, and ornate chandeliers.”

If you ask us, it sounds like the perfect setting for a night out with the titas or titos of Manila!

5. VU’s Sky Bar and Lounge

VU’s Sky Bar and Lounge’s strategic location on the 45th floor (the highest one on our list) of the Marco Polo Manila gives you a view that goes beyond Ortigas.

Come here on a clear, sunny day and you’ll lay eyes on the mountains of Rizal! The sight is really one to behold that Arjay M. even describes it as “undefeated” in his looloo review.

If you’d rather drop by come sundown, that’s no problem too! “The place looked really sleek and classy,” Mae A describes in her review. “It’s the perfect venue to have some pre-dinner drinks and appetizers while watching the sun go down.”
