5 Must-See Christmas Displays In Metro Manila This Holiday Season

It seems like it was just yesterday when 2018 was just starting. Now all of a sudden, it’s already the moswonderful time of the year! Christmas is just around the corner and the holiday cheer is beginning to spread all around the metro. But if for whatever reason you’re feeling like a Grinch, we have something that can help you embrace the holidays!

Every year, one of the things we look forward to during the holiday season are the Christmas displays of our favorite shopping destinations. To help you keep track of what you can visit this year, we’ve rounded up five of those places that you should check out pronto. Don’t forget to get your cameras ready because these Christmas displays are surely IG-worthy!

1. Ayala Triangle Gardens

Spending the Christmas season at the happiest place on earth is probably on everyone’s bucket list. However, flying to Disneyland is sadly easier said than done. Lucky for us though, we get the next best thing thanks to the Ayala Malls!

This year, Ayala Malls teamed up with The Walt Disney Company Philippines for a Mickey Mouse and Disney Princess-themed lights and sounds show called Reimagine The Magic: Festival of Lights. The show begins at 6 p.m. daily and runs every half hour until 10 p.m. You can catch Ayala Triangle’s Festival of Lights until January 8, 2019.

Ayala Triangle Gardens can be found on Makati Avenue corner Paseo de Roxas Avenue, Makati.

2. Bonifacio High Street

If Mickey Mouse and the Disney princesses are pretty boring and old school to you, here’s another Disney-themed Christmas Display that you’ll surely enjoy!

Called the Pixar Playtown, Bonifacio High Street’s Christmas Display features some of your favorite Pixar characters like Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and Woody as well as Cars’ Lightning McQueen. Don’t let the holiday rush make you miss the chance to see these larger than life characters because they’ll only be around until January 7, 2019!

Bonifacio High Street can be found can be found in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

3. Eastwood City

Christmas decors really just aren’t complete without countless of festive lights to brighten up the dark nights. But if you think the lights on a regular Christmas tree can already be excessive, wait until you see Eastwood City’s lights display for the holiday season!

Called the Enchanted Forest of Lights, over 100 lighted displays can be found all over Eastwood City. You can find both land and sea animals (the giant blue octopus is hard to miss!) as well as lighted replicas of famous destinations such as France’s Eiffel Tower and New York’s Empire State Building.

This dazzling display of lights will be in Eastwood City until January 13, 2019.

Eastwood City can be found in Bagumbayan, Quezon City.

4. Estancia

You’ve probably seen a photo or video of Japan’s digital art museum and wished you could go there. But believe it or not, you don’t need to a plane ticket to have a similar experience. All you need to do is head to Estancia at Capital Commons!

This holiday season, Estancia brings what it calls the Sweet Illusion Chamber Rooms! These interactive rooms are candy-themed and offers a surreal experience involving mirrors and lights. There are four rooms you can check out: Tutti Frutti (Rainbow Prism Room), Sugar Rush (Laser Room), Candy Blast (Shadow Light Room), and Special Dark (Dark Light Room).

You have until January 9, 2019 to experience what Sweet Illusion is!

Estancia can be found in Capitol Commons, Kapitolyo, Pasig.

5. SM Aura Premier

SM Aura Premier’s Christmas in the Sparkling Wild is another animal-themed (safari animals, in particular) holiday display that mall visitors can enjoy this year. But what has caught everyone’s attention is the interactive installation that you can also find inside SM Aura.

Named Prism of Lights, this light show depicts the beauty of the night sky. Music also accompanies the changing of light colors so you’re definitely in for a sensory experience. You’ve probably seen it on your social media feeds recently and we’re not surprised. It’s just really picture-perfect!

This light show runs until January 7, 2019 so hurry on to SM Aura to experience this Christmas installation!

SM Aura Premier can be found on the C-5 Road corner 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
