In the new Bonifacio Stopover, you can sit down for a nice hot meal during your lunch break or refresh your senses after a grueling day in the office. Easily accessible from BGC’s central business district, you don’t have to go far (or struggle with traffic) anymore to enjoy life outside of work!

And for the residents of the area, Bonifacio Stopover could be your new hangout place on the weekends. Bring the entire family over and spare yourself the hassle of cooking and cleaning up at home!

1. 121 Bar & Grille Restaurant

It’s okay that work totally stressed us out. It’s all right that nothing went according to plan. As long we have food, drinks, and the mic at the end of the day, we’re all good. It’s just how we Filipinos roll! Over at 121 Bar & Grille Restaurant, you can sing along to all your favorite karaoke tunes as you steal bites of comfort food and chug beer during the instrumentals!

2. Coco Hut

Forgetting to eat breakfast in the morning doesn’t mean you can’t have it at any other time in the day. With Coco Hut’s all-day breakfast menu, you can eat Chicken Tocino, Tapa a la Pobre, Smoked Bangus, and Longganisa for lunch, merienda, or dinner! And just like how a good breakfast meal should be, they’re served with garlic rice, egg, and atchara.

4. Genki Sushi

If you’re a fan of all things techy, treat your geeky self to a meal at Genki Sushi. This well-known franchise from Japan may be the future of all restaurants today. You swipe through the menu on hovering tablets, order your food with a push of a button, and enjoy service at lightning-fast speeds. The best part of the experience is seeing your sushi arrive atop mini bullet trains!

But aside from the Back To The Future vibes it gives off, you can count on this restaurant to impress you with tasty Japanese food too, made only from fresh, quality ingredients. Some of the popular picks here are the Spicy Salmon, Chicken Teriyaki Don, and Chirashi Don. For dessert, they have sweet treats like Green Tea Ice Cream and Rare Japanese Cheesecake.

5. Hobing Korean Dessert Cafe

With the new Hobing Korean Dessert Cafe serving up handcrafted bingsu at Bonifacio Stopover, summer won’t be such a hot, sticky mess this year. If you’re not familiar with bingsu, it’s a Korean dessert that’s made up of shaved ice, milk, and sweet toppings like ice cream and fruits. It’s worth the brain freeze!

7. Mann Hann

Comfort can mean different things to different people. But for the Filipino-Chinese community in Manila, Hokkien-style food will always be a reminder of home’s warmth. Since 1995, Mann Hann has been the go-to restaurant that families have relied on for lutong-bahay specials. And now that they have a branch in Bonifacio Stopover, the long trip to Binondo isn’t necessary anymore for some no-frills, just-dig-in Chinese dishes.

Their flavorful Bihon Soup is a great way to prepare yourself for the feast ahead. Follow that up with some Hakaw, Siomai, and Dumplings. As for mains, they have seafood dishes like Fried Squid and Spicy Prawn and meat dishes like Lechon Macau and Spicy Spareribs.

8. Pancake House

Pancake House may be well into its 40s, but this oldie will never go out of style. Because as far as breakfast goes, we’re always going to want fluffy pancakes and crispy waffles made sticky with syrup! The specialties of the house are the Classic Pancakes as well as the Caramel Banana Walnut, Chocolate Marble, Peach, Bacon, and Cheese Waffles.

But even beyond its breakfast menu, Pancake House has other entrees that shine. Some of the well-loved items here are the juicy and crispy Classic Pan Chicken, the childhood favorite Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, and the hearty Best Taco in Town.

9. Pho Hoa

Although ramen’s great, we know they’re not the best thing to eat if we want to keep the pounds at bay. But if you can’t stay away from noodles for too long, Pho Hoa hooks us up with the healthier, Vietnamese alternative. Did you know that bone broth improves the digestive and immune system AND keeps the bones, teeth, hair, and nails strong?!

If you’re a newbie to Vietnamese cuisine, you can ease into it with Pho Hoa’s beginner category. You can either choose the Pho Nam (flank pho), the Pho Chin Nac (brisket pho), or the Pho Bo Vien (meatballs pho). But if you’re feeling gutsy, they have the Adventurer’s Choice category where tendon and brisket are used as toppings for your pho!

10. Potluckers

Filipinos have a thing for potluck parties. We love the idea of individually bringing food, gathering them all up in one table, and then getting to try each other’s dishes. It’s the same idea in this restaurant, minus the hassle of having to cook! Potluckers serves up Asian fusion cuisine in hefty, shareable portions. This new concept is brought to us by the same guys behind Shrimp Bucket!

If the stressful work week’s got you missing the warmth of home-cooked Filipino food, ditch the office cafeteria and hit up Rekado Atbp for lunch. In here, you get to feast on plates upon plates of traditional local dishes in a modern and classy setting. Be sure to come with company (preferably ones who are famished) because their portions are generously big.

Other drool-worthy dishes are the Inadobong Tahong, Boneless Chicken Inasal, Baked Kaldereta, and Hipon sa Gata. Take away the umay with desserts like Halo-Halo, Puto Bumbong, Palitaw, and Turon Ala Mode.

13. S&R New York Style Pizza

Sometimes, all you need in life is a large, loaded pizza to make things better again. Luckily for us, there’s a new S&R branch in Bonifacio Stopover where we can eat all our feelings, no membership card required! You can choose from three pizza flavors, namely Cheese, Pepperoni, and Garlic Shrimp. Or you combine all of them into one glorious creation!

14. Shawarma Bros

Shawarma Bros started out as a food truck founded by five college bros. And we all took quickly to their hefty meals loaded with carbohydrates and protein. But now, we don’t have to go running around, chasing after them for a platter of their food because they have a new restaurant in Bonifacio Stopover!

Shawarma Bros Lamb and Keema Shawarma

Lamb and Keema Shawarma from JP G.’s looloo review for Shawarma Bros

With a menu inspired by the Persian food in NYC, they cook up this cuisine but with a Filipino twist. Instead of eating the shawarma by itself, they’re served as part of a filling rice meal. For your meat, you can choose between variants like Beef, Chicken, Lamb Steak, and Keema. If you’re extra famished, they have heftier portions called Big Bro Rice Meals!

15. Starbucks Coffee

This Starbucks branch is the perfect place to hole up in if you need a place to study (or cram) for an exam. It’s small, cozy, and quiet so you won’t have to deal with big crowds or noisy chattering. Open 24/7 from Monday to Friday, you can burn the midnight oil here while sustaining your brain with all the caffeine it needs to stay alive and alert!

Tenya, Japan’s top tempura chain, is now here in the Philippines and their newest branch is in Bonifacio Stopover!

This restaurant is well-known in Asakusa, Tokyo for having one of the tastiest tendons in town, the batter light and crispy, the prawn fresh and juicy, and the rice gloriously sticky. Not to mention they’re drizzled with sweet tare sauce!

They have the Classic Tendon on their menu. But if you feel like going all out, you can order up their Asakusa Special Tendon which gives you three black tiger prawns, or the All-Star Tendon which gives you one black tiger prawn plus squid, salmon, and kani.

17. Wingstop

With nine different flavors of wings and six unique dips, you know your tastebuds are in for a treat at Wingstop. You get to pick one flavor for five wings, two flavors for seven wings, and three flavors for eleven wings! Their sauced-and-tossed wings are guaranteed made-to-order and will be served to you piping hot.

Wingstop Manila

Hot Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan Wings from The Food Scout N.’s looloo review for Wingstop

If you’re overwhelmed by the number of choices, let’s break it down! The bestselling Lemon Pepper wings are packed with an addicting citrusy zing with a lick of heat. While the Louisiana Rub has the perfect blend of spicy and garlicky flavors. If you’re a prankster, have some fun by tricking a friend into eating the Mango Habanero wings. It fools you with its sweetness at first but then goes all out with a burning-hot aftertaste!

18. Yumchee

Eating Chinese food doesn’t have to mean paying for a bill with intimidating numbers. Because Yumchee, the newest comer to the country’s fast food scene, is offering quality Chinese food for cheap! They’re set to expand with even more outlets in the coming years but their first branch is already open in Bonifacio Stopover.
