Imagine a steamy stack of warm and fluffy pancakes being placed at your table. You notice the yellow, smooth butter slowly melting, exhaling a sweet, buttery aroma.

You grab a bottle of maple syrup and cover the pancakes in a thick, sweet blanket of brown translucence. You pause for a brief moment and watch your plate slowly build a small pool of this luscious liquid.

Now with a fork in one hand and a knife in the other, you spread what remains of the unmelted butter evenly across the pancakes, making sure that every centimeter is smothered with butter and maple syrup.

Your taste buds tingling with impatience, you make your first cut into the pillowy layers, extract a small piece of mouthwatering goodness and take a bite…

With pancakes this good, you pinch yourself to make sure that IHOP’s pancake deal isn’t a dream.

A sweet deal to celebrate IHOP Philippines’ 3rd Year Anniversary

International House of Pancakes opened its first restaurant in Toluca Lake, California back in 1958. It was only in 1973 that the abbreviation IHOP was created, a name that would soon become synonymous for delicious, all-American breakfast food. Fifty seven years since the establishment of their pioneer branch, 1,650 more have cropped up in different countries all over the globe.

And aren’t we so lucky to have the very first IHOP branch in Asia right here in Manila! In 2013, we clamored for a seat in their newly-opened branch in BGC, enduring epicly long lines just to experience what it’s like to have breakfast in one of the most famous restaurant chains in America. Three years and six more branches later, we’re still scrambling to get a spot at IHOP.  And we don’t just come for the food but for the feeling of ease and comfort as well.

A vast menu with pancakes as the star

IHOP’s breakfast menu is loaded with everything you’d want to sink your teeth into for breakfast. Some of the items have been carried over from the international selection while some new variants have been added in to provide a more local twist.

Of course, the first meal of the day can’t go by without some eggs! Their wide selection of omelettes includes variations like the Big Steak, loaded with steak, cheddar cheese and hash browns. The Country Omelette on the other hand, is sprinkled with ham, cheddar cheese, hash browns, and sour cream.

IHOP's Filipino Corned Beef Breakfast

To make Filipinos feel even more at home, they’ve added in a Filipino Favorites section where we can find familiar almusal treats like the Breakfast Beef Tapa, the Savory Pork Longganisa, the Classic Pork Tocino, and the Corned Beef Hash. They’re all served with a side of garlic rice and eggs!

While their menu can literally go on and on, they’ll always be best known for one thing. Their World Famous Pancakes have made a lasting impression on our taste buds and bellies, well-loved for being extra fluffy and comforting.

Did you know that IHOP serves up more than 700 million of these babies all over the world per year?!

Stack ‘em up for only ₱25 per pancake

The signature Original Buttermilk Pancakes is the simplest of all the pancake variations at IHOP. But that’s exactly why they’re so popular! Uncomplicated, uncluttered, and packed with a classic country flavor. Made using IHOP’s 58-year old proprietary recipe, they’re the good stuff that launched IHOP into global fame!

Their ₱25 Pancake Promo is the first of the many activities lined up for IHOP’s third-year anniversary celebrations. To end the festivities, a National Pancake Day Buffet will be held on March 8, 2016 so be sure to get your stretchy pants ready for that! All proceeds of the buffet will once again be donated to the local Kythe Foundation, Inc. in support of their mission to battle pediatric cancer.
