The Ultimate Dessert Guide: Mega Fashion Hall Kiosks

With the new Mega Fashion Hall filled with so many good restaurants to try, (Also read: The Ultimate Dessert Guide to the Mega Fashion Hall Restaurants) getting to all of them can be quite a challenge.

Thankfully, this new wing at SM Megamall also has an array of food kiosks/stalls offering smaller items that will still allow you to continue your food trip without taking too much time or needing to order an entire meal.

Why not indulge in these sweet endings for take out? These goodies are perfect for snacking at home or even at work or school.

Here’s a list of divine desserts you can get from kiosks located at the SM Mega Fashion Hall:

1. KA by CicouDessert Specialty: Kouign Amann

KA by Cicou is a specialty kiosk brought by the same people behind the popular French restaurant called Brasserie Cicou. Renowned in the restaurant industry for their delectable and fine French cuisine, they have likewise made a name in the dessert scene with their popular French pastry called Kouign Amann (pronounced as “queen aman”). Roughly translated in English, Kouign means “cake” and Amann means “butter.”

The sweet buttery pastries, best eaten warm, are made from laminated dough incorporated with butter and sugar resulting in an end product that’s somewhat similar to puff pastry but marbled in a rich buttery caramel glaze.

KA by Cicou has pushed the notch further by offering different takes on this decadent French pastry. They offer two main variants: the sweet and the savory kind.

Among their sweet variants, the Caramel Kouign Amann is perhaps the closest to what they serve at their restaurant. A decadently buttery pastry with a delicious marbling of caramel glaze with a lightly crunchy caramel topping is a treat impossible to resist.

Other delightful and interesting sweet variants of the pastry are their Chocolate KA, Blueberry Cheesecake KA, Lemon KA, Coffee KA, Ensaymada KA, and Peanut Butter & Jelly KA.

Price: Sweet Kouign Amann flavors range from ₱90 – ₱99 each.
