If you’ve been trying to cut back on sweets, we’re sorry because this article isn’t going to help. But hey, you clicked on it so might as well give in and try these new dessert places out! Your diet will still be there when you get back.

There’s a popular ice cream brand that now has kiosks all over the metro, as well as a dessert cafe from Australia that serves up delicious ice cream and waffles. Not to mention the new matcha-themed cafe in BGC that’s so cute you wouldn’t want to leave!

1. Carmen’s Best

When Carmen’s Best first started out, they were making their products from the comfort of home. And it stayed that way for 6 years as they supplied supermarkets and other establishments.

But people’s love for their premium ice cream continued to grow steadily and they couldn’t contain their growth any longer. So they expanded their production line and set up their very own kiosks in the metro!

Hit up their kiosks to enjoy a scoop or two of their classic flavors like Dark Chocolate, Ube, and Salted Caramel. They also carry signature flavors like Birthday Cake, Turkish Baklava, and Butter Pecan.

Carmen’s Best can be found at these locations.

2. Dessert Table

Eden Food Hall is one of the newest hangouts for the hungry people of BGC. Inside this 24-hour joint, you’ll find your favorite stalls from Mercato Centrale, Legazpi Sunday Market, and Salcedo Weekend Market, one of which is Dessert Table!

Soft serve may not be anything groundbreaking but Dessert Table has a pretty unique way of making theirs. Using freshly brewed tea in their recipe, their two main flavors are Classic Milk Tea (assam black tea) and Thai Milk Tea (Thai tea).

You can add toppings to your flavor of choice, including things like pearls and granola crunch. You can even have your ice cream served on top of a waffle!

Dessert Table can be found at Eden Food Hall, 32nd St. cor. 5th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.

3. Gelare

The first thing you need to know about Gelare: It’s a popular dessert cafe from Australia that now has a flagship store in the metro. The second thing: While the name might sound like it, they actually don’t sell gelato!

Instead, ice cream is their specialty, priding themselves on using only fresh ingredients to make it. They also use a higher cream content without incorporating any air, explaining why their ice cream is so thick and creamy.

Aside from ice cream, their freshly baked waffles are another thing you need to try from the menu. They have tasty variations like Mud Pie, Nutella Banana, and Peaches & Cream!

Gelare can be found on the 3/F of Uptown Place Mall, 36th St. cor. 9th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.

4. Nomi Matcha

When you see a cafe that’s as cute as Nomi Matcha, you don’t just walk away. But the adorable pink and green motif isn’t the only thing that’s worth checking out. Their matcha-filled menu is another thing to love about this place!

You can bet that their matcha’s authentic too because the Japanese owners ship it all the way from Kyoto, Japan. You can enjoy this imported ingredient in their desserts like Frozen S’mores, Matcha Churros, and Tea-ramisu Dream.

You can wash all of that down with a delicious matcha drink like the Matcha Latte, Matcha Frosty, or Matcha Soda.

Nomi Matcha can be found on the G/F of W City Center, 7th Ave. cor. 30th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.

5. Scout’s Honor

Good news for the people of QC: You don’t have to spend hours in traffic anymore just to get yourself cookies from Scout’s Honor. They now have a shop in Vertis North! The best part is it’s not just a stall–it’s a full-fledged cafe with all your favorite craft cookie creations!

Some of the drool-worthy flavors you can treat yourself to here include the Ultimate Triple Chocolate Chip, Cashew Macadamia & Dark Chocolate, Gooey Ube, and Matcha White Chocolate. Of course, it wouldn’t be the complete experience without a glass of their milk.

They also have entrees in this branch like Bacon Tocilog and Creamy Pesto with Grilled Chicken. This way, you get a complete meal from lunch / dinner all the way to dessert.

Scout’s Honor can be found at these locations.

6. Sundays by Merry Moo

While Merry Moo’s sweet and rich ice cream will always have a spot in our hearts, sometimes, we crave for lighter desserts. This is where Sundays by Merry Moo comes in. In here, you can help yourself to soft serve ice cream!

There are a bunch of soft serve flavors to choose from, including Horlicks, Laguna Milk, Polvoron, Salted Caramel, Bailey’s and Davao Chocolate. Made with real cow’s milk, you can bet they’re just as flavorful as Merry Moo’s artisan ice cream.
