2. Ninyo Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge

Just behind the hustle and bustle of Katipunan Avenue is a restaurant where you can escape and have a peaceful and romantic time with your date!

Ninyo Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge serves dishes featuring a harmonious blend of Asian and European flavors that will surely tickle your fancy. This Valentine’s season, Ninyo sweetens the deal by offering a Valentine’s degustation! Called Love Story, this degustation has six courses (aptly named chapters) and is inclusive of a red or white wine.

Priced at ₱3,000/head, Love Story is available from February 13-18! Reservations are required so be sure to make them beforehand!

3. Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant

A rundown of romantic date spots here in Manila won’t be complete without including Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant. It’s gourmet dining, elegant interiors, and intimate ambiance all rolled into one hidden setting perfect for special date nights!

Lemuria is known for serving French Mediterranean cuisine and this Valentine’s season, it will also offer a menu specific for the occasion! Priced at ₱2,750/head, the five-course menu is available from February 13-15 only so don’t miss out the chance to try it! We heard it includes delectable treats like a berry and mango pavlova for dessert!

4. Blackbird

Long before the Ayala area became the Central Business District of Makati, it was once the first ever commercial airport of our country. Amazing, right? Looking at it now, not much else will give you a clue about the area’s aviation history except for the Nielson Tower along Makati Avenue.

The Nielson Tower is now home to Blackbird, one of the metro’s most popular places for fine dining. The Art Deco-style building itself provides for a romantic setting for your Valentine’s Day date. Inside, you’ll find The Grill Room, the main oval dining room that features the famous spiral staircase. Ascend the stairs and you’ll reach The Cabin, the former control tower of the old airport that now houses a more intimate dining space.

Priced at ₱3,000 for lunch and ₱3,600 for dinner, this package for two includes the very popular cheese buffet!

7. 210 Degrees Kitchen + Drinkery

Home to the City of Love, it’s no surprise that many couples associate France to anything and everything romantic, even its cuisine. So for those in search of a cozy, dimly-lit French restaurant that exudes romance and yummy food, 210 Degrees Kitchen + Drinkery is the place you’re looking for.

Helmed by French-Basque chef William Mahi, 210 Degrees likewise offers a special Valentine’s Day menu which will be available only on February 14. This Valentine’s Day menu is priced at ₱3,200/head and includes six courses infused with the best of French cuisine!

Take note that dinner seatings are at 6:00 and 8:30 PM so don’t forget to place your reservations!

8. Caviar Restaurant & Champagne Bar

When you think of indulgent food, you probably think of things like chocolate, risotto, perhaps even a lamb rack as well. What if we tell you that you can get all of these and more in one special menu on Valentine’s Day?

Caviar Restaurant & Champagne Bar in Alabang takes indulgence to whole new level this Valentine’s season with its seven-course (yes, seven!) set menu! Available on February 12 and 13, and for limited guests only on Hearts Day itself, this set menu includes a Frenched Lamb Rack, Truffle-infused Bucatini Pasta, and Valrhona Chocolate Fondue!

9. Toyo Eatery

Less is more at times and this is all the more true when you dine at Toyo Eatery. Owned by Chef Jordy Navarra, Toyo Eatery serves Filipino food with a twist dished out on small plates. The seven-course tasting menu is a crowd-favorite and the recommended way to enjoy the best that Toyo Eatery has to offer its diners. If you and your date want something less overwhelming, go for the three-course set menu or the a la carte menu.

Whichever menu choose, make sure not to miss out on the Garden Vegetable Salad to start off your meal. It’s otherwise known as the Bahay Kubo because it’s made up of all the vegetables mentioned in the song! Another crowd favorite is the Barbecue, which is served with Toyo’s famous Silog, a bowl of malagkit rice topped with an egg yolk and chicharon bits!

10. Bistro Manuel

A lot of foodie hearts broke when Lolo Dad’s closed down in 2013. So why not mend it spending Valentine’s Day over at Bistro Manuel!

Bistro Manuel is owned by Chef Ariel Manuel, the same chef who owned Lolo’s Dad’s! Many of the classic favorites from Lolo Dad’s are found in Bistro Manuel’s menu, along with a range of dishes created specifically for the restaurant!

For this year’s Valentine’s season, Bistro Manuel has not one, not two, but three Valentine’s Day menus! Called the Sweetheart Deals, you can choose one of three set menus (The Bud, The Blossom, and The Bouquet), which are all available from February 6-12 and 16-28!
